This statistical progress report illustrates the work of academic transfer offices and their benefit to our communities through innovative technologies, products and resulting startup companies. Survey data was provided by 191 institutions that responded to the AUTM 2014 licensing survey. The respondents included 163 universities, 27 hospitals and research institutes and one third-party technology investment firm.
