This statistical progress report illustrates the work of academic transfer offices and their benefit to our communities through innovative technologies, products and resulting startup companies. Survey data for fiscal year 2015 was provided by 202 U.S. institutions. The respondents included 169 universities, 31 hospitals and research institutions, one third-party technology investment firm and one national laboratory.
